YEJI KIM (BK'25)

Co-president

Yeji is a sophomore in BK originally from Ohio majoring in Political Science and English. Yeji (formerly FL and Community Chair) is super excited to be your 2023 Co-President! She loves reading and kdramas and krnb music (dpr <3 be’o <3 leehi <3). You can find her on campus as a tour guide, baking, sewing and designing clothes, or eating (anywhere). Yeji is also a part of the Yale Policy Institute, Global Research and Consulting, and the Yale Taekwondo team. She loves KASY very very much and wants to make it a community for you—never hesitate to reach out with any suggestions or ideas!

MITCHELL KIM (JE'25)

CO-President

Mitchell is a sophomore in JE from New Windsor, Maryland. He’s majoring in Psychology and pursuing an Education Studies Certificate. He served as an FL during his first semester and was the Secretary this past year. Outside of KASY, Mitchell is a Matriculate Advising Fellow + Yale Ambassador, and works at the Athletics Ticketing Office. He enjoys playing NBA 2K on the play station and drinking chocolate milk with every meal. Mitchell’s super excited to serve as Co-President this year and put together fun events for the KASY community!

SHEENA KWON (TC'25)

SECRETARY

Sheena is a sophomore in Trumbull from Dallas, TX. She is a Global Affairs major. She served as the Political Chair this past year. Outside of KASY, Sheena is a Writing Partner at the Poorvu Center, a La Colombe student ambassador, and part of Smart Women Securities. She loves watching movies, making tea, and reading. Sheena is excited to serve as the Secretary this year!

WILLIAM PARK (JE'25)

community chair

William is a sophomore in JE from Seoul. He is currently majoring in pure math but is keeping his options open for other majors as well. He has served as part of the Hanppuri board this past year and has transferred to KASY! :) Outside of KASY, William is part of UCW and BCO, where he plays violin. He enjoys playing/watching ice hockey and listening to music, and he loves Asian food. Having served in the Adopted Friends Committee previously, William is excited to be part of the KASY board this year as your Community Chair!

MIN JAE KWAK (JE'25)

SOCIAL CHAIR

Min Jae is a sophomore in JE from Denver, Colorado. He is a Global Affairs major. Outside of KASY, he is a part of the Yale Policy Institute, UP Fund, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, Sig Chi, and is a student ambassador for the admissions office. He loves watching all levels of football and basketball and is always down to try new food places around New Haven. Min Jae is very excited to be a part of KASY Board!

MARK CHUNG (TC'25)

MEDIA CHAIR

Mark is a second-year in Trumbull from Seoul, South Korea. He is a History+E&EB double major and is on a pre-med track. He served as an FL his first year at Yale, and is currently a PL for the AACC. Outside of KASY and the AACC, Mark works as an EMT, does research at Yale-New Haven Hospital’s ER, is a graphic designer for student groups, and is a member of the Buddhist Sangha. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, laying on Cross Campus, and going on coffee runs. Mark is excited to represent the KASY community as the Media Chair this year!

COLIN kim (mY'26)

POLITICAL CHAIR

Colin is a first-year in Pauli Murray College. He is planning on majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology on a pre-med track. He is from the Los Angeles area. Colin is a master procrastinator and loves to lie in his bed idly (don’t be like Colin, kids!!!). He loves talking to people so hit him up whenever (he’s never busy so plz do… it’s become a problem fr). He is so happy about serving as Political Chair this year and is beyond excited to be a part of KASY board!

PHILIP BACK (BF'26)

treasurer

Phil is a first-year in Benjamin Franklin College from Vernon Hills, IL. He is majoring in chemical engineering and is the head lifeguard at PWG. Favorite hobby is sleeping. People say he doesn’t look like he lifts but trust me he’s doing his best. Phil is excited to handle all the money sitting in the KASY bank account!!

STELLA CHOI (BF'26)

CULTURAL CHAIR

Stella is a first year from NYC in Ben Franklin. She’s interested in studying Cognitive Science and East Asian Studies with the Education studies certificate. She’s also involved with UCW, the New Haven REACH program, works for Paschar consulting, and conducts research at the Leonard Learning Lab. Trader Joes might be her favorite place in this whole world. Stella’s love for KASY only grew as she served as an FL last term, and she can’t wait to organize the best cultural show this year!! <3

SEUNG MIN BAIK KANG (BR'26)

Outreach CHAIR

Seung Min is a first-year in Branford College majoring in Economics and ER&M. He was born and raised in Guatemala but his parents are Korean. Currently, he is part of the Yale Glee Club, International Students Organization, and the Migration Alliance at Yale. He loves watermelon and Korean pear and running (especially to East Rock). Seung Min is beyond thrilled to be part of KASY Board!
